Ed25519

The signature algorithm (EdDSA) TSP uses to sign evidence.

Definition

Ed25519 is a fast, modern elliptic-curve signature. In TSP the SHA-256 hash of canonical JSON is signed, so identical content always yields the same signing input.

Why it matters

The signature proves who sealed the evidence and that it has not changed since — without the verifier having to trust any party.
