Certificate verification

What verification is

Verification lets anyone confirm that a certificate is genuine, without signing in and without access to your account. The check runs against Academy's signed evidence.

How the recipient verifies

  1. Go to the verification page
  2. Paste the verification code from the certificate
  3. Press "Verify"

If the code is valid, the page shows who holds the certificate, which certification it covers and when it was issued.

TSP evidence

  • Every certificate has a TSP envelope carrying a cryptographic signature
  • The envelope can be downloaded and checked without online access to Academy
  • The trust page shows which key Academy signs with

Share the certificate

  1. Open the certificate under Certificates
  2. Copy the verification code or the link to the public page
  3. Send it to an employer, auditor or client

Pitfalls

  • A screenshot is not evidence — it cannot be verified
  • An unknown or mistyped code returns no match; check the characters
  • If the certificate has been revoked, verification says so
